 Providge Consulting - Management Consulting

Industry Environment
The healthcare sector is growing and changing daily, and providers are understandably overwhelmed by EMR, EHR, e-prescribing, coding, billing, patient portals, and more. Clinicians have obtained years of training to provide optimal patient care–not to implement IT systems. Providge Consulting is here to help. We will assess a physician practice and recommend, implement, and support EHR and other technologies based on this custom assessment, allowing clinicians and staff to focus on patient care.

Our Experience
Providge Consulting has successfully implemented technology solutions for a number of large and small organizations (see a selection of our clients). We specialize in marrying the technical and the functional aspects of a system to fit an existing business process. Our electronic medical record (EMR)–also known as electronic health record (EHR)–system recommendations take into account an organization’s size, budget, timeline, and other resources.

Our Approach
We have specialized knowledge of several Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, which range in price and functionality from basic clinical documentation options to comprehensive top-of-the-line systems with all currently available features. This range of product expertise allows us to determine which option fits within a specific practice’s needs. Once we, as a strategic partner, help determine which system is best for a practice, we are there every step of the way to plan, implement, roll out, and support the selected system, enabling clinicians to focus on improved patient care.

We have enlisted the guidance of a Clinical Advisory Board to provide clinical perspective to the Health Solutions practice. Click here for an overview of Clinical Advisory Board members' bios and clinical credentials.

Return on Investment
Practices that implement Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems earn a return in two ways: 1) better patient care and 2) improved financial and operational metrics. The systems we recommend enable any combination of the following practice improvements:

  • Decreased clinical errors and drug interactions
  • Increased patient volume due to operational efficiencies
  • Increased revenue without associated staff increases
  • Reduced or eliminated transcription costs
  • Reduced labor costs
  • Payback on initial investment within two to three years
