Michael Carr
Managing Director
Michael Carr, our newest partner, joined Providge in 2006 and brings extensive consulting and project management experience across a broad array of industries. During his 10 years as a consultant, he has provided technical, functional, and strategic consulting services to the financial, retail, healthcare, consumer products, high tech, education, and government industries.
Michael has particular expertise in Human Capital business processes, and excels at articulating the strategic value of the HR function to corporate executives. Solutioning HR challenges at clients in such diverse industries, he recognizes that HR’s strategic value to executive leadership is generally not an organic outcome, but typically results from a request for deliberate action in the HR area. Whether it be a reduction of transactional costs, an increase in quality of human capital, an increase in employee productivity, or an increase the knowledge base and fulfillment of employees, Michael is fully capable of creating, articulating, and implementing a vision to meet executive leadership’s needs.
Mr. Carr began his career as a consultant at Price Waterhouse, LLP after graduating from the University of Florida in 1997 with a BSBA in Finance and a minor in Economics. Mr. Carr remained at Price Waterhouse for 5 years, through its transition to PricewaterhouseCoopers and ultimately IBM. Michael left IBM to become an independent consultant and served several clients as an individual prior to joining Providge as a partner. His broad experience and extensive professional network have been instrumental in Providge’s recent growth and development into an Inc. 500 company.
In his personal life, Mr. Carr believes that everyone should have the opportunity to succeed by leveraging his or her unique talents. In 2007, Mr. Carr founded Young Minority Entrepreneurs, Inc. (YouME, Inc.), an organization seeking to teach fundamental business principles and create entrepreneurial opportunities for inner city and underprivileged children. He remains an active leader in the South Florida and Central Florida communities, and he is always interested in participating in non-profit charity work.
